When it comes to seasonal make up, there's few brands who nail a summer launch like Clarins do. Every year I find myself getting just that little bit excited ahead of the summer because I know whatever they have in store for us, will be wonderful. Some of their drugstore products are so impressive in fact, that to buy them here, you'll end up paying over the odds, often counter-brand prices. Mad eh? They come out with new collections all the time, which keeps things fluid - and it means there's always something new to add to my collection. They also know what works and what doesn't, so you'll find the perfect collections for all occasions and skin types. I like how their ranges vary from the essentials, to something more out-there and bold. Their new Fall 2.0 collection recently launched and it's an absolutely beauty for autumn make-up essentials...

August Favourites

August has been the most eventful month in Lady Writes Land and it's all because Baby Writes #2 arrived. Yep, you've probably all seen my social media and the introduction of Hayden Oliver, but yes, his arrival (three weeks early) made August super eventful in our house! Besides the sleepless nights and bottle feeds, August had also been a lovely time to try some new products in-between baby time and I'm super excited to show you what I've been loving the most this month...

Rodial Instaglam Powders and Glamstick Lip Butters

With names like 'Instaglam' and 'Glamstick' you know that Rodial are doing something seriously good with their current make-up ranges. Being an Instagram addict, I was really excited to try the Instaglam Contouring Powder, Bronzing Powder and Banana Powder - and the Glamstick Lip Butters have such a good reputation that I was excited to try them out too. Because when you're trying new make-up, why try just one product when you can give yourself a whole new face of make-up all at once?! (Can you see why I'm a beauty addict?!)

KIKO Milano Limited Edition Trend Collection

There are some brands out there that I wish I'd tried sooner. Some which grace my wish-list for far too long before I finally try them and fall head-over-heels, and wonder why I waited so long. I then usually float into a state of make-up euphoria, and make sure I tell everyone about them as well. After all, that's what you do when you're in love isn't it?! My latest make-up obsession, the one I wish I had tried years ago is KIKO Milano, because my first impressions of this brand and their gorgeous products have been so high I'm kicking myself for not picking up some of their goodies sooner.

So when it comes to make-up, a girl can never have too much right? And that means never giving up the quest to find bigger and better products. I love that beauty blogging has lured me out of my 'comfort' zone which previously meant I only ever used the same products on my face without fail. I guess I was stuck in a make-up rut. If it wasn't for my blog I'd never have been able to try some amazing products and discover brands who surpassed the quality and performance of some of my long-standing (and now previous) staple products. And one brand I've been so excited to discover like this, who've raised the bar and introduced some fantastic products to my make-up bag, is Studio 10.
