My Annual Skin Detox With Natural Spa Factory

My skin is changing a lot at the moment and I've gone from having an amazing skin month, to break outs, dry patches and oily areas - all in one. It's been a bit of a skin roller coaster! The problem with changing skin types is that they're hard to treat and combat with a standard regime because each area of your face needs a different type of care. Because of this I decided that January was my time for a skin detox - which is something I've been meaning to do for a while. I try to do one a year, for a full month, which basically means that within that time frame I abandon my trusty skincare staples and replace with a new regime to detox my face. I almost always go for something natural - just because by the time I reach the need for a detox, natural feels better than anything else...Wouldn't really be a detox otherwise would it?!

There are some brands that far surpass class, elegance and sophistication. So high quality are their products that they just stand there, taking pride of place on my dressing table, in front of everything else, strutting their elite stuff on the catwalk of my beauty room. These brands have the ability to stop you in your tracks as you walk past their stores, to lure you towards their displays and convince you to purchase new additions to your collection without a second thought. Such high regard for a brand and it's products doesn't come along very often - in fact we'll all only have one or two of these brands who've never let us down, or who make us feel that tingle of class and elegance when we own their products.

This year I've been so lucky to have tried a lot of wonderful new beauty products. I've tried all sorts from skincare to make-up and everything in-between. I've found some great new products that have found their way into my everyday make-up bag and become staples in my routine. I've also naturally found some one-trick-wonders that were great for a short time, or would be great for other skin types or tones... It's been an amazing year for new beauty discoveries. Estee Lauder are doing great things right now. As someone who can fully appreciate great branding and PR, I've loved watching them introduce the likes of Kendall Jenner into their marketing. I've been using Estee Lauder products since I was a teenager. My Mum always taught me the importance of good make-up and skincare products, and she introduced me to Estee Lauder when I was about sixteen. She's used their products throughout her life and she rarely strays from her staple make-up bag essentials. Naturally, I followed suit after having only seen her rely on their products and always achieve fantastic and beautiful results.
